A fantastical space created by towering bamboo groves that reach toward the sky
The Arashiyama bamboo grove path is approximately 400 meters of walking trail from the north side of Tenryuji Temple to Okochi Sanso Villa. Walking through the bamboo that stretches as if covering the sky offers a glimpse of the atmosphere unique to Kyoto. The sound of wind rustling through the bamboo has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Soundscapes.
