Nara Park is a vast park of approximately 502 hectares that includes UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Todai-ji, Kasuga Taisha, and Kofuku-ji. Approximately 1,200 wild deer, designated as Japan's natural monuments, roam freely throughout the park, and the experience of feeding the deer with shika senbei (deer crackers) is a highlight of Nara tourism.
