Mystical scenery of Ryugu Cave, a heart-shaped skylight cave born from wave erosion
Ryugu Cave in Shimoda City is a sea cave formed by wave erosion, with a skylight created by a collapsed ceiling through which light streams in—a mystical spot. When viewed from above, the sandy beach inside the cave appears heart-shaped, making it popular as a 'heart spot.' The skylight, about 50 meters in diameter, is breathtaking, and the crashing waves with emerald-green seawater create a fantastical landscape.
