Aonae Cape in Shiriuchi

Aonae Cape located on the coast of Shiriuchi, through which the Hokkaido Shinkansen passes. A small lighthouse stands atop a cliff overlooking Tsugaru Strait, and on clear days, Aomori Prefecture across the strait can be seen. While Shiriuchi is known as the birthplace of Kitajima Saburo, few tourists visit the cape, and it is a quiet space where only the sound of waves and wind can be heard. Katakuri flowers bloom in spring.
