Mt. Sambe is a 1,126m-high volcano characterized by a unique mountain form with 6 peaks arranged in a ring. From the main peak Mt. O-Sambe, a 360-degree panorama stretches from the Japan Sea to Mt. Daisen in a single sweep. With diverse courses ranging from the Hime-nogarike Course for beginners to ridge-walking routes for experienced hikers, the mountain is also renowned as a flower mountain, its grasslands blooming with flame azaleas and daylilies.
