The Kids Nature Camp held on the shore of Lake Biwa in Takashima City is a nature experience program for elementary school students during summer vacation. The 2-night, 3-day program is packed with kayaking on Lake Biwa, water play, catching fish by hand, setting up tents, fire-starting experience, cooking in mess tins, and stargazing. Experienced nature guides and leaders accompany the children, fostering their independence while prioritizing safety. The friendships formed between participants also become treasured memories.
