Lake Biwa Kids Fishing Class

The kids fishing class held at Lake Biwa in Otsu City is a beginner-level program that accepts participants from age 5. Experienced instructors carefully teach participants how to hold a rod, prepare tackle, attach bait, and more as they fish for bluegill and black bass in Lake Biwa. Fish caught during the class are released for ecosystem conservation, and the program also includes environmental education elements about invasive species issues. Rental tackle and bait are included in the participation fee, so you can participate without bringing anything.
