Sapporo Miso Ramen
Rich miso soup and crinkled noodles are the defining features of this ramen originating in Sapporo. Butter corn is also a standard topping.
Sapporo Miso Ramen is counted among Japan's three great ramens and is a signature noodle dish of Hokkaido. Rich miso-based soup is paired with medium-thick crinkled noodles and generously topped with vegetables such as stir-fried bean sprouts and cabbage. 'Butter Corn Ramen,' made with the addition of butter and corn, is also hugely popular with tourists. Famous restaurants gather around Susukino's 'Ramen Yokocho' and Tanuki Koji, with each shop pursuing their own unique soup recipe. A warm bowl on a cold winter day has an exceptional taste.
