Sapporo Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan is a lamb dish that can be called Hokkaido residents' soul food. In a dedicated iron pot with a raised center, fresh lamb meat and vegetables are grilled. Throughout Sapporo, numerous famous restaurants are scattered, from beer garden style establishments to long-established specialty shops. Particularly in the Susukino district and beer gardens, famous restaurants are concentrated. There are two types: the marinated type soaked in sauce and the raw lamb type dipped in sauce after grilling—both are exceptional.
