Rumooi Kogane Misaki Sunset Trail

Kogane Misaki in Rumooi City was named after an era when the sea surface would turn golden due to massive herring gatherings. Today, it's known as a famous spot for sunsets over the Sea of Japan, and the sunset viewed from the walking paths around the cape has been selected as one of the "One Hundred Best Sunsets in Japan." In summer evenings, a walk along the coastal trail is recommended, where you can enjoy the ever-changing colors of the sky. Near the cape, there are also seafood restaurants serving fresh local dishes such as sweet shrimp and octopus.
