The Nintoku Emperor Mausoleum Kofun is Japan's largest keyhole-shaped mound, boasting a total length of approximately 486 meters, and serves as the symbol of the UNESCO World Heritage "Mozu and Furuichi Kofun Clusters." From ground level, you can view the majestic form surrounded by three moats and trees, and from the observation lobby of Sakai City Hall, the keyhole shape of the mound becomes visible. Medium and small kofun are scattered throughout the surrounding area, and the Sakai City Museum displays excavated artifacts. This is a spot where you can experience the grand scale of ancient Japan.
