Shuri Castle in Naha City has been undergoing restoration work since the 2019 fire, with the construction process publicly showcased as part of 'visible reconstruction.' The Shoureimon Gate and Sonohyan Utaki Ishimon within Shuri Castle Park are designated World Heritage Site components. The surrounding area features walking paths that preserve the atmosphere of the Ryukyu Kingdom era, including the stone-paved path in Kinjo-cho and the grand Akagi tree at Shuri Kinjo.
