Yomitan Yachimun Village Pottery Experience

Yachimun Village in Yomitan is a sacred place of pottery where about 20 kilns gather. Here you can experience traditional yachimun hand-painting and pottery wheel techniques. Using gos, a unique blue pigment from Okinawa, painting traditional patterns such as arabesques and fish motifs on plates and bowls creates a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. A gallery where you can observe the craftsmen's techniques up close is also available.
