Inujima is a small island reachable by a short 10-minute boat ride from Hoden Port in Okayama City. The Inujima Smeltery Museum, which utilizes the site of a former copper refinery, and art works from the 'House Project' scattered throughout the island are the main attractions. While walking through the quiet island with a population of only dozens of people, you can experience a space where nature, architecture, and contemporary art harmonize. A walk during the mild climate from spring to autumn is recommended.
