Bizen ware is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns and is a distinctive pottery fired with only clay and flame, without the use of glaze. Many kilns are gathered in the Inbe district of Bizen City, and they offer experience classes in pottery wheel throwing and hand-building. While feeling the warmth of the clay, you can create your own tea bowls or vases under the guidance of craftsmen. Your finished piece will be delivered to you in about 2 months and can be treasured as a souvenir of your trip.
