Spectacular Morning Mist at Yufuin's Kinrin Lake

Kinrin Lake is an iconic symbol of Yufuin Onsen, where both hot spring and cold spring waters gush from the lake bottom. Particularly in the early mornings from autumn through winter, the temperature difference between the warm lake water and cold outside air creates a magical morning mist, and the spectacular sight of Mt. Yufu's form rising up through the mist can be seen. The walking path circling the lake shore takes about 15 minutes, with cafes and galleries scattered throughout. A pre-breakfast stroll allows you to fully experience the charm of Yufuin.
