Bandaibashi Night View Walk

Bandaibashi, the symbol of Niigata City, is a 6-span arched stone bridge built in 1929 and designated as a National Important Cultural Property. The bridge illuminated from dusk through the night and the band of light reflected in the Shinanogawa River make it one of Niigata's most representative night view spots. Walking along the riverside path from the base of the bridge toward Toki Messe, you'll find beautiful scenes of the lights from the high-rise buildings on the opposite bank swaying on the water's surface. Night cafes and bars are scattered throughout the surrounding area.
