Echigo Tsumari is known as the stage of the 'Art Festival of the Earth,' where contemporary artworks are permanently displayed in the terraced rice fields and villages of the foothills. The unique landscape where agricultural practices and contemporary art have fused has gained worldwide attention. While exploring the artworks, visitors can experience the terraced rice field landscape and rural mountain life. When the Triennial is held every three years, approximately 200 works are exhibited, attracting art enthusiasts from around the world.

Get off at Matsudai Station on the Hokuhoku Line. A car is convenient for visiting each artwork.
