SL Snow-Removal Train Kimaroki Set and Closed Railway Remains Preserved in Nayoro City
The Kimaroki set preserved in Nayoro City is Japan's only exhibition displaying a complete, authentic steam locomotive snow-removal train. The four-car composition—comprising a locomotive, Mackley car, rotary car, and locomotive—conveys the struggle against Hokkaido's harsh winters. Cycling routes tracing the remains of the former Nayoro Main Line are also popular among railway enthusiasts.
