Kashiba Children's Nature Walk

At the foot of Nijo-san in Kashiba City, a well-maintained walking trail preserves satoyama (countryside) nature. In a kids-oriented nature walk program guided by local nature guides, children experience nature with all five senses through seasonal activities including insect collection, wild plant observation, nut and seed gathering, and birdwatching. Spring brings dandelions and horsetails, summer features Japanese beetles and stag beetles, autumn offers acorns and autumn foliage—allowing visitors to enjoy nature's seasonal transformations. Participation available from age 3.
