Located in the countryside of Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, Gamou Udon is a legendary renowned restaurant that any Sanuki udon lover must visit at least once. In the simple interior next to a small noodle factory, you can enjoy freshly made udon in self-service style. The noodles are supple yet have a firm, chewy texture, and pair perfectly with the warm dashi broth made from dried sardines. Tempura and fried items can be added at very reasonable prices, and at around 300 yen per bowl, the value is unbeatable. Eating udon surrounded by rice fields is truly exceptional.
