Hirado Castle is a rare castle built in 1718 facing the sea, and its main tower underwent a renewal and reopened in 2021. From the highest floor, you can have a panoramic view of the Hirado Strait, Hirado Bridge, and the sunset sinking into the East China Sea. It's also recommended to stroll through the castle town while learning about Hirado's history, which once flourished with trade with the Netherlands and Portugal. Spots full of exotic charm such as Xavier Memorial Church and the ruins of the Dutch Trading Post are scattered throughout.
