Okama, located near the summit of the Zao Mountains, is a crater lake approximately 330 meters in diameter. Due to the iron and sulfur contained in its waters, the lake changes from jade green to cobalt blue depending on the weather and the angle of light—a mysterious sight. You can drive nearly to the summit via the scenic Zao Echo Line drive, and from the observation deck, Okama lies below with a vast panorama stretching to the Pacific Ocean in the distance.
