Sendai Yagiyama Zoo Kids
Sendai's Yagiyama Animal Park is ideal for children's animal observation. It also features interactive corners and animal interaction experience programs.
Located in Sendai City, Yagiyama Zoo is the largest zoo in the Tohoku region, housing approximately 130 species and 580 animals. In addition to large animals such as African elephants and polar bears, visitors can also interact with rabbits and guinea pigs in the petting corner. Animal commentary and feeding experiences led by zookeepers are very popular with children. Combined with the adjacent Yagiyama Benyland amusement park, it's a family-friendly destination where you can enjoy yourself all day long. Subway access is also convenient.
