A 100-meter-deep V-shaped gorge blazing with autumn foliage - one of Tohoku's finest autumn landscapes
Naruko Gorge is a V-shaped gorge approximately 100 meters deep. In autumn, maples and beeches turn red and yellow, painting the entire gorge in fiery hues. The view from Oofukasawa Bridge is renowned as one of Tohoku's signature autumn foliage spots, and the contrast between the arch bridge spanning the gorge and the crimson leaves is breathtaking. Walking the trails allows you to enjoy the gorge's beauty from different angles. The best time to view the autumn foliage is from late October to early November.
