Ine Boathouse Cruise

Ine Town in Kyoto Prefecture is a unique settlement where approximately 230 boathouses, built right at sea level, surround Ine Bay. The structure—where the first floor serves as a boat garage and the second floor as residential space—is a landscape found nowhere else in Japan. The Ine Bay sightseeing boat cruise slowly circumnavigates the bay over approximately 25 minutes, allowing you to appreciate the boathouse clusters from the sea. You can also enjoy feeding seagulls from the boat. Designated as an Important Traditional Building Preservation District, it is a signature scenic spot representing 'Seaside Kyoto'.
