Arashiyama・Hozu River Rafting

The Hozu River rafting is a boat trip of approximately 16km from Kameoka to Arashiyama, lasting about 2 hours. Three skilled boatmen operate a wooden boat through exhilarating rapids, threading between rocks. Strange rock formations and cliffs line both banks, creating spectacular scenery colored by cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, and crimson leaves in autumn. Along the way, there are calm stretches where vendor boats pull up to sell warm oden and mitarashi dango, adding delightful charm to the experience.
