Learn 1500 years of textile culture at Nishijin Weaving Hall and enjoy a kimono fashion show and hand-weaving experience
Nishijin Weaving Hall is a facility that promotes the culture of traditional textiles and Nishijin weaving in Kyoto. On the first floor, models showcase gorgeous Nishijin obi and kimono in a fashion show held daily at set times. On the second floor, you can learn about the history and manufacturing process of Nishijin weaving in the exhibition room, and on the third floor, you can experience hand-weaving with a mini loom. The shop inside the building also offers affordable items such as Nishijin business card holders, neckties, and coin purses. It's a popular spot to experience Kyoto's traditional crafts.
