Kyoto's Fushimi is one of Japan's premier sake brewing regions, blessed with high-quality groundwater known as 'Fushimi water.' This popular tour guides you through three sake breweries along the scenic Horikawa Canal, lined with white-walled historic buildings. You'll taste each brewery's signature sake, view the sake brewing process, attend a mini-lecture on the basics of sake tasting, and have the opportunity to purchase limited-edition sake from the breweries. The tour concludes with sake lees ice cream made with Fushimi's famous water. A combo plan that includes a Jyukkokubune boat tour is also available.
