Muroto Misaki Geopark Walk

Muroto Misaki is an earth museum designated as a UNESCO World Geopark, where you can observe the traces of crustal deformation spanning tens of millions of years up close. Geologically valuable outcrops such as marine terraces, turbidites, and pillow lava are scattered along the coast, and by walking while listening to explanations from expert guides, you can deeply experience the history of the Earth. The Mikurodo cave, where the Buddhist monk Kobo Daishi Kukai attained enlightenment, is also a highlight, allowing visitors to savor the charm of Muroto where nature and faith converge.
