Oyama is a sacred mountain that has been bustling with 'Oyama pilgrimage' since the Edo period. Over a dozen traditional shops line the pilgrimage path, offering Oyama's famous tofu dishes where you can enjoy hand-made pressed tofu, yudofu, and dengaku. The lower shrine of Oyama Afuri Shrine is about 6 minutes by cable car or about 1 hour on foot via the shrine path stairs. You can enjoy a sense of accomplishment along with stunning views overlooking the Kanto Plain.
