Jōgashima is an island with a circumference of about 4 km off the southern tip of Miura Peninsula, connected to the mainland by a bridge. There are 2 lighthouses on the island, and from Jōgashima Lighthouse you can enjoy spectacular views of Sagami Bay and Mount Fuji. On the rocky shores of the southern coast, you can observe the cormorant's wintering grounds from the viewing tower, and the natural arch called Umanose Cave Gate is also a notable sight. It's a seaside tourist destination lined with tuna restaurants.
