Winter experience of wakasagi ice fishing on the frozen lake surface of Onuma Quasi-National Park
At Onuma Quasi-National Park in Nanae Town, you can set up tents on the frozen Lake Onuma during winter, drill holes, and enjoy wakasagi fishing. Full equipment sets are available for rental, so even beginners can participate without bringing anything. The pleasure of dropping your line in a heated tent, feeling the bite, and catching fish is unique to winter. The caught wakasagi can be enjoyed as tempura on the spot. The spectacular snowy landscape with Komagatake as the backdrop is also a must-see.
