Shiratani Unsuikyo is a natural recreation forest spreading across elevations of 600-1100m on Yakushima, known for being the model for the forest in director Miyazaki Hayao's "Princess Mononoke." The fantastical landscape where over 300 species of moss completely cover rocks and trees is breathtakingly beautiful. There are multiple routes ranging from the 1-hour Yayoisugi Course to the 4-hour Taiko-iwa Course, allowing visitors to enjoy according to their fitness level.
