Zentsuji is Temple No. 75 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage and the birthplace of Kobo Daishi Kukai. Introductory experience programs are held here to learn ohenro pilgrimage practices and principles. Wearing white vestments and a Buddhist hat, visitors receive direct instruction from monks on worship practices within the temple grounds and how to chant the Heart Sutra. The ordination altar walk offers an ascetic practice experience through a pitch-black underground corridor, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on oneself.
