Shodoshima was the first place in Japan to successfully cultivate olives in 1908. At the olive farm, you can experience the entire process from hand-picking olive fruits during the autumn harvest season to pressing them with stone mills and presses. The fresh aroma and taste of freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil are exceptional. Through tasting, you can also learn about the flavor differences between different olive varieties, expanding your culinary knowledge.
