Hayachine Shrine, located in the Tsugamushi district of Tono City, is an ancient shrine that has long been revered as the branch shrine of Mount Hayachine. The approach path, surrounded by lush towering cedar trees, feels like stepping into the world of Tono Monogatari. At the July annual festival, Hayachine Kagura is dedicated to the shrine, allowing visitors to witness up close the traditional dance registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
