Sumita Town is located in the Kesen region and has a deep-rooted taiko culture since ancient times. Kesen Taiko is characterized by powerful rhythm and impressive performance, and an experience program where you can receive direct instruction from local taiko groups is available. You can learn step by step from how to hold the sticks, basic rhythm, to ensemble playing, and even beginners can participate comfortably. Sumita Town is also known as the 'town of wood,' and the tone of taiko made from Kesen cedar is exceptional. You can also enjoy interacting with local people.
