Shosha Engyoji in Himeji: The Western Hiezan

Shosha Engyoji is an ancient Tendai sect temple located on Mount Shosha in the outskirts of Himeji, known as the 'Western Hiezan,' a magnificent alpine temple. When you ascend the mountain by ropeway, Important Cultural Property structures such as the Mani Hall, the Great Lecture Hall, and the Refectory are scattered throughout the deep forest.
