Awaji-Naruto Strait Whirlpool

The Naruto Strait whirlpool is one of the world's three greatest tidal currents. During spring and autumn periods when major tides occur, massive whirlpools exceeding 20 meters in diameter are generated. From the Onaruto Bridge promenade 'Uzu no Michi,' you can experience the thrill of peering down at the whirlpool 45 meters directly below through a glass floor. Boarding a sightseeing boat allows you to experience the whirlpool's impressive power up close. The view from the Awaji Island side is especially recommended.
