At the Tetsuno Kujira-kan (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Kure Historical Museum), you can tour the interior of the decommissioned submarine Akishio. Look through periscopes, touch crew bunks, and experience a realistic submarine firsthand. Admission is free, and the museum features extensive exhibits on minesweeper history and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force activities. It's recommended to visit together with the adjacent Yamato Museum.
