The morning market held every Sunday early morning at Tateba Kaishi in Hachinohe boasts one of Japan's largest scales, spanning approximately 800m with about 300 shops lined up. In addition to fresh seafood, local specialties such as yakisoba, senbei soup, and grass mochi are densely packed. Sea urchin and scallops directly purchased from fishermen are extremely fresh, and you can enjoy eating while walking around. The lively interactions of local people are also appealing, making it a spot where you can experience Hachinohe's food culture firsthand. Limited to March through December.
