Teuri Island, floating off the coast of Haboro town, is a seabird breeding ground that is rare even in the world. The west coast of the island features cliffs over 100 meters high, where over 1 million seabirds such as puffins and murres nest in summer. At dusk, the magnificent sight of puffins returning en masse to their burrows is breathtaking. Guided tours on the island allow you to walk the cliffs while learning in detail about seabird ecology.
