Takasaki City accounts for approximately 80% of daruma production nationwide and is known as the 'Daruma Town'. Around Shozan Daruma Temple and inside JR Takasaki Station, there are several daruma specialty shops. From traditional red daruma to gold daruma for wealth, pink daruma for love, and blue daruma for exam success, sizes range abundantly from No. 1 (approximately 5cm) to No. 30 (approximately 90cm).
