Observation Platform of the Takasaki White-robed Great Kannon

The White-robed Great Kannon standing on the Kannon Mountain ridge in Takasaki City is a massive Kannon statue towering 41.8 meters high. You can ascend the interior of the statue by stairs, and from the windows at the shoulders, a breathtaking panorama unfolds showcasing the Kanto Plain and the three sacred mountains of Jomo—Mt. Akagi, Mt. Haruna, and Mt. Myogi. On clear days, you can even see as far as Mt. Tsukuba. The surrounding area is also home to famous cherry blossom viewing spots, making this a destination to enjoy throughout the year—spring cherry blossoms and autumn foliage.
