Oku-Shima Lake, located at the innermost part of Shima Onsen in Nakanojo Town, Gunma Prefecture, is known for its mystical cobalt blue water surface, referred to as "Shima Blue." Despite being a dam lake, the water color changes depending on the season and weather, and especially during the spring snowmelt season, it transforms into a breathtakingly beautiful blue. Walking trails are maintained around the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy the miraculous colors created by nature while strolling through the quiet forest.
