Kids Satoyama Experience in Kawaba Village

In Kawaba Village, Gunma Prefecture, children's satoyama experience programs are being implemented as part of an exchange project with Setagaya Ward. The programs are packed with nature experiences that city children usually cannot do, including catching beetles and stag beetles, fishing in the river, and rice planting and harvesting experiences. Local grandparents serve as teachers, passing down satoyama wisdom. This is a highly popular program every summer vacation.
