Gujo Hachiman Silk Screen Experience

Gujo Hachiman is known as a city of water and dance, and in recent years craft culture has also flourished. At a local atelier, you can experience silk screen printing with natural dyes—indigo, persimmon tannin, and others—on T-shirts and tote bags with designs inspired by the clear waters of the Yoshida River. An artist instructor provides careful guidance throughout the entire process, from selecting printing blocks to mixing colors and printing. Finished products can be taken home immediately, and the experience takes approximately 90 minutes.
