Autumn Leaves of Goshiki-numa in Kitashiobara
Autumn at Goshiki-numa in Urabandai features mysterious, spectacular scenery where colorful lake surfaces and autumn foliage intertwine. A stroll along the nature trail is recommended.
Goshiki-numa in Urabandai is a group of dozens of lakes and ponds created by the eruption of Mount Bandai. It got its name because each body of water displays different colors. During autumn foliage season, the contrast between the emerald green and cobalt blue lake surfaces and trees tinged red and yellow creates breathtaking beauty. You can stroll along the approximately 4km Goshiki-numa Nature Trail and visit unique ponds such as Bishamonuma, Akanuma, and Ruriuma. Goshiki-numa shrouded in early morning mist is especially magical.
