One of the world's three major dinosaur museums, Fukui's magnificent museum
Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum is one of the world's three major dinosaur museums. Over 50 complete dinosaur skeletons are displayed inside the silver dome-shaped building, and the moving Tyrannosaurus robot is spectacular. It reopened with renovations in 2023, and in the new building you can also enjoy fossil cleaning experiences and a 3D theater. In Katsuyama City, tours where you can visit actual excavation sites are also popular.
